EVICTIONS - Evictions are considered to be the process by which a landlord removes a tenant from physical possession of the rented property. As a rule, before a landlord can start evictions, he or she must first give the tenant a notice to quite. It is not a court paper so you may be sure that nothing will happen to you if you don't move by the date given in it. Nevertheless, if you don't move, the landlord may then start the court action by having the marshal give you a summons and complaint.
